BIG OIL!

Prices at the gas pump keep climbing higher, and it’s nippin’ people in the old pocketbook. So what does Congress want to do? Tax ’em! And tax ’em again!

Oh … but they’ll set-up a nice little “trust fund” they say … please, read my column here.

How about a little homegrown?

warrantedarrestNo! Not that kind of homegrown … I’m talkin’ about OIL!

Homegrown OIL!

About 50 miles off the Florida Keys reside vast oil reserves available to be tapped by American oil companies (yeah, scary Big Oil). Dictator Fidel Castro has hooked up with China to drill there (using slant drilling techniques to pump from American territory), but Congress refuses to let Americans drill for oil in this part of the ocean. Nope! Instead, they want to TAX us, and TAX US again! (Don’t kid yourself about who really pays those taxes).

Anybody remember the seventies? Long lines at the gas pump, rapid increases in the price … good times???

This is what Congress wants. They want to bring back the energy policies of the 1970’s.

Of course there’s ANWR (Alaska National Wildlife Reserve) too. If it wasn’t for the Politicians insatiable need to get up on a podium and sell their snake oil to the citizens, we’d be supplying Americans with American oil.

“The U.S. Department of Interior (DOI), in its April, 1987 report on the oil and gas potential of the Coastal Plain,rogue9 estimated that there are billions of barrels of oil to be discovered in the area. DOI estimates that “in-place resources” range from 4.8 billion to 29.4 billion barrels of oil. Recoverable oil estimates ranges from 600 million barrels at the low end to 9.2 billion barrels at the high end. They also reported identifying 26 separate oil and gas prospects in the Coastal Plain that could each contain “super giant” fields (500 million barrels or more)” (Warriors for Truth).

What about oil shale? According to government reports, the world’s largest deposits lie in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. “… if fully developed, domestic shale oil extraction could free America from dependence on oil imports for 160 years” (Liberty Works)!

I could carry on and on, but you get my point: There’s oil in them there hills!

I’ll leave the affect of inflation regarding the price you pay at the pump for another time, along with the speculation bubble that is certain to burst. Today, we focus on Congress.

The Politicians are selling you snake oil, while they keep our country dependent on foreign oil. The Politicians get to keep spouting off sound bytes to create the illusion of being heroes, while YOU get to dig deeper into your family budget to buy gasoline from foreign tyrants.

I have to wonder … What would happen if Americans didn’t have to buy their oil from tyrants? I wonder if those tyrants would have less money (our own no less) to attack America, slander America, and subdue their own citizens? Hmmmm …

Again, I have to wonder … How many new American jobs would be created in drilling, refining, and delivering American Oil to Americans? How much more revenue would federal and state governments have to pilfer and spend on pet pork projects with all the new oil, and new jobs … ?

I wonder …

The ANSWER to rising gas prices is right in front of your nose! Throw the punks in Congress out, and support drilling for oil in America! Land of the free, home of the brave … remember?

The only energy or oil monopoly in this country is a governmental institutionalized monopoly on our country energy market. The legislative branch has been engaging in anti-competitive energy practices from drilling to building new refineries and much more. They are in clear violation of the

    “Sherman Antitrust Act
This Act expresses our national commitment to a free market economy in which competition free from private and governmental restraints leads to the best results for consumers.” http://www.usdoj.gov/atr/contact/newcase.htm#file

Clearly the governmental restraint are in violation of a free market economy and is criminal negligence on the part of the liberal politicians who are the real cartel that profit in taxes more then 3 to 1 to the oil companies that actually work for their money and then have to pay taxes on top of that. So when Oil profits go up the tax revenue increase is 3 times that of the oil companies. So who do you think is the real cartel???

This criminal incompetence of the democrats and legislative politicians anti free market energy economy in allowing American companies to meet American Oil needs is in need of change and with bush opening up offshore drilling it is time that we conservatives take a page from the left wing play book and for us to us the judicial system in upholding our laws and open up drilling.

Why dose the Senate call for investigations on big oil? Because they are trying to transfer the blame off of them by placing the blame on someone else. By placing the blame on the oil companies and keep people from seeing that government is the true problem they are able to offer false hope in an effort to gain more power and money from taxes while eliminating a free market economy in our country and forcing us to send our money to unfriendly Middle Eastern countries.

    Why should we drill?
    1) Create more high paying jobs for Americans
    2) Become energy independent and stop sending $700 billion to middle eastern countries that support terrorism
    3) Invest the $700 billion in America
    4) $700 billion is 6% of the yearly US economy, and investing this in America would do what to our economy? Lower inflation and strengthen the US dollar?
    5) Instantly drop the price of oil because oil Speculators like me would invest in commodity producers that provide the product like Exxon, Chevron, BP, Shell, because this is the smart investment. When Oil Speculators transfer investments the Oil price falls on the stock market.
